Get access to Windows 7/10 after lost password
- First of all go to the recovery mode in windows
- Either with a built-in partition
- Or with a windows installation disk
(I this case select the language, click next and select repair pc)
2. Then open the cmd console and type c:
3. Change directory to C:\Windows\System32
4. Change the the files sethc.exe or utilman.exe accoring to https://www.avast.com/c-recover-windows-password
5. Reboot and open the assistant according to the manual above - the cmd should be visible.
6. Change the password according to the link above and reboot.
7. If the user account is an online windows account, the password seems not changeable.
Then create a new windows account and add it to the administrators group by this link and reboot:

8. Now you should have admin access to the PC.
9. Revert the changes made to the mentioned files to keep the system clean.
